In Dunedin, I went to a place that I'd love to recommend to anyone who cares about health and natural foods for a visit. It's called: It''s not the biggest of stores, but it has a cafe attached to it, and what I'm most stoked about - A seaweed selection shelf, which you can pick and pack the seaweed of your choice and purchase them in bulk. Of course you won't be buying them by the bulk, because it's over $100/kg, but how good is THIS: I said to the storefront person that if this was known to the Asian community, you'd run out of stock really fast. What I appreciated was also the arrangement of their stock. On first sight, it makes you want to walk up to each bucket and look into what you could salvage on your grocery haul. Another thing is I came across a lot of brands and products that I've not seen anywhere else around Aotearoa. E.g. some local milk that you can buy by the glass bottle & return the bottle after use, and also the vegan salami / pancetta etc that I wish we had in Wellington. What's more, this is something I've not even come across in Chantal, my favourite healthfood store in Aotearoa, based in Napier: you can get walnuts, hazel nuts, and macadamia nuts in bulk as well. I will share some more pictures below from the store: The cafe, the kitchen blackboard, some other items on the shelf in store. And last but not least, upon checking out, next to their coffee machine is a Dune reference on a mini-blackboard: If healthy foods and zero waste shopping experience is your cuppa tea,
drop in at Taste Nature for a nice haul of yumness and health! I highly sincerely recommend it ^_^ Comments are closed.
